What should I do If I have prediabetes?

No 85mg/dl is not bad. It comes within normal range.
If your fasting levels are 100mg/dl or less then you are normal. If they are more than 100-125mg/dl then you fall into prediabetes. If they are more than 140mg/dl then you fall under the diabetic zone.
One can prevent or delay prediabetes from turning into type 2 diabetes with simple, proven lifestyle changes.
In general less than 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L ) is normal. 100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L ) is diagnosed as prediabetes. 126 mg/dL (7.0 mmol/L ) or higher on two separate tests is diagnosed as diabetes.
