A serum beta hCG test can confirm pregnancy 1 to 2 days after a missed period. Since your period is 5 days late, you can do the test now. If the result is negative, repeat the test after 5 to 7 days if your period does not start. If periods remain irregular or you have pain or heavy bleeding, visit your doctor for further evaluation.

Hi, on the 17th day of my period I went for a follicular study. My doctor injected HCG 10000 for egg rupture on the 18th day. I assume my egg ruptured then, but we were not able to have intercourse. On the 19th day, the doctor confirmed that the egg had ruptured. Since I did not have intercourse on the 18th day when the egg ruptured, is there any chance of pregnancy?

My husband and I had unprotected sex on 30th July and took an ipill. After that, we had unprotected sex a couple more times. My period was due on 17th August, but I started feeling dizziness, so I did a home pregnancy test, which showed one dark line and one faint pink line. Does this indicate that I might be pregnant, or could it be a hormonal imbalance due to the i pill? We are not prepared for pregnancy, so I need guidance on what to do next.
