Why does my breath smell like poop?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
The common causes for your breath to smell like feces are sinus and respiratory infections (such as bronchitis, viral colds, strep throat), poor oral hygiene (infrequent cleaning, chronic dry mouth, oral infections, smoking or chewing tobacco), Gastroesophageal reflux disease, abscessed tooth, prolonged vomiting (> 24 hours) and bowel obstruction.

View allI've been feeling heartburn since yesterday, and it's really bad when I try to sleepduring the day it's there but not as intense. Can you suggest some home remedies that might help?
Hello! It sounds like you are experiencing heartburn that worsens when lying down. For relief, you can try the following home remedies: - Avoiding trigger foods such as spicy, fatty, or acidic foods - Eating smaller, more frequent meals - Avoiding lying down right after eating - Elevating your head while sleeping - Drinking ginger tea or chamomile tea - Taking over-the-counter antacids like Tums or Rolaids as needed - Trying over-the-counter H2 blockers like Pepcid AC or Zantac - Using over-the-counter proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec OTC or Nexium 24HR for persistent symptoms - If symptoms persist, it's important to consult with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

I've been dealing with this issue where I keep having this irritating feeling in my throat like there's mucus constantly forming there. I used to get this sensation maybe every 3 or 4 months, but for the past 6 months, it's been happening every single day and it's really affecting my life. On top of that, I've been experiencing what's probably gas reflux, and it's making things even worse. It's become quite miserable, and I'm finding it hard to eat. Do you have any idea what might be going on or how I could get some relief?
