Follow all medication instructions carefully, including over-the-counter available medicines, to ensure your liver remains healthy and functions normally. Other things that can help your liver heal are:
- Lose weight if you're overweight or obese. To achieve this, focus on reducing your daily calorie intake and increasing physical activity. If you’ve struggled with weight loss in the past, consider seeking professional support.
- Eat nutrient-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while minimizing processed foods, excess sugar, and unhealthy fats.
- Exercise for at least 30 minutes on most days of the week to keep blood sugar and cholesterol levels in optimal range.
