At the age of 57 I feel that perhaps since childhood I was an abnormal person as compared to a normal person because I often used to feel breathless while walking on a gradient in a hilly area I used to have high fevers in my childhood In 1988 I fainted and fell for the first time while playing football in the college ground The last time I fainted and fell was in 2018 when I was running to catch a train From 1988 to 2018 there were about 10 episodes when I fainted and fell All these occasions were due to exertion Out of these 2 occasions were when I vomited due to hyper acidity and was not doing any activity The first ECG was done in 1991 which was very abnormal and complex Since 2000 echo and other tests have been done every year In 2018 the doctors declared it as HCM and after suggestions I started taking Dilzam 90 SR tablet which I took till 2024 Anxiety and chest pain without any exertion started in August 2024 In 2018 Medanta Hospital Cardiologist Dr Balbir Singh advised me to get an AICD implanted Finally I went to Apollo Hospitals Cardiologist Dr Vanita Arora who is known for her expertise in the field of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology including RF ablation of complex arrhythmias and ICD implantation After doing 2D Echo and Cardiac MRI she decided to get an AICD implanted and implanted the device in a surgery of only 40-50 minutes During this phase I did not feel any pain A lot of care was taken during the entire procedure and there was no problem of any kind Dr Aroras secretary Preeti was also very supportive at every stage She is very cheerful personality Excellent coordination was also arranged for follow up after the procedures Now at present after implantation and taking regular Beta Blockers I am feeling fine there is no chest pain no panic either Dr Vanita Arora is an excellent Cardiologist and also takes care of the patients finances

Dr Vanita Arora is a very senior doctor She is very professional and always shows care and compassion to her patients well being She is treating and monitoring my father since last many years and I always have a confidence in her treatment plan and the care she provides

Pacemaker surgery

My mother underwent pacemaker surgery under her. We are very Happy with her treatment. Doctor is very capable . She has great empathy for patients, listens to the problems and advice necessary medication. Doctor's assistant is also polite, proactive and very helpful.

Irregular heartbeat

i sought appointment for my brother.The whole system is smooth. Assistant Ms Preeti is polite, understanding, and prompt .She is easily approachable. Dr Va Nita is supposed to be expert in the field and concerned about her patients. She explained the disease, line of treatment, modalities available and . She is considered about patients and approachable and decent in behaviour. I have all the plus for her. A very good Doctor in true sense.
