Question

I am 29 years old and 15 weeks pregnant now. I am using 137.5 mg Eltroxin tablet from one month. Today I got results of TSH 0.3, Total T4 19.9 and Total T3 1.96. Why does my total T4 level show high? Is there any problem for my pregnancy and my baby?

In pregnancy, thyroid hormone levels, especially total T4, can be higher than usual due to hormonal changes. A slightly high T4 alone is not usually harmful, especially if TSH is within target. Your TSH is on the lower side, which may need monitoring. Continue medication as advised and follow up regularly with your doctor.

Take a Free (FT4) Test Test or Take a TSH Test (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Test
