I'm prone to catching a common cold or viral fever a couple of times every year. I've heard that in western countries, there's something called a flu shot. Is there anything similar in India? If it exists, what's it called and where can I get it? If not, what other options do I have?

In India, the flu shot is also available and it is commonly known as the influenza vaccine. You can get the influenza vaccine at most pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics. It is recommended to get the flu shot annually before the flu season starts, usually in the months of September to November. Alternatively, you can also consider taking over-the-counter medications like paracetamol for fever and pain relief, antihistamines for runny nose and sneezing, and decongestants for nasal congestion. It is important to stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, and practice good hygiene to prevent the spread of infections.
