Question
I'm really worried because I've got these lipid deposits around my eyes. I've been taking medication for my cholesterol, but these deposits just aren't going away. What could be causing this, and is there anything else I should be doing?

The deposits near your eyes could be xanthelasma, which are yellowish cholesterol deposits. In addition to your current cholesterol medication, you can discuss with your doctor about adding a statin medication like atorvastatin to further lower your cholesterol levels and help reduce the deposits. The dosage would depend on your specific condition, so please consult your doctor for the appropriate prescription.
