Question
I've been dealing with Tinea Cruris near my crotch, and it's finally cured, but before I saw a dermatologist, someone advised me to use Betnovate. Now, I've noticed that it's caused some thinning of my skin. Is there anything I can do to help with that?

Betnovate (betamethasone) can cause skin thinning (atrophy) with prolonged use.
Reversing Skin Thinning
- Stop using Betnovate: Discontinue use to prevent further skin thinning.
- Moisturize: Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers to hydrate the skin.
- Topical creams: Apply creams containing hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or niacinamide to help restore skin thickness.
- Avoid further irritation: Refrain from scratching or using harsh products on the affected area.
- Consult a dermatologist: Schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor progress and adjust treatment if necessary.
