Question
I've been having a mildly sore throat pretty frequently these days, and I've found that gargling with betadine really helps. But I'm a bit concerned and curious - is it safe to use betadine for gargling every night, or could there be any long-term issues with using it often? Would love to get your thoughts on this.

Using Betadine for gargling every night can be safe for short periods of time. However, prolonged and frequent use may lead to irritation of the throat and oral mucosa. It is recommended to use it for a maximum of 7-14 days. If your symptoms persist, it is advisable to consult a doctor for further evaluation and management.
