Question
I've been having this pain in the back of my throat for a while now, like 3 months, and even though Ive seen a few doctors, they didnt seem worried. But I finally saw a gastroenterologist who said I have reflux and also treated me for an intestine infection, which is better now. The chest pain's still there though, and he thought it might be osteochondritis but said it should go if the infection cleared up, which hasn't happened. Im mostly worried because I noticed really dark veins in my throat, and even after finishing a treatment for a throat infection a few days back, there's still some pain. Also, my ear started inflaming about 4 months ago, and while ibuprofen helped last month, it's bothering me again, especially at night. Could this all be connected somehow?

Its good that youve been working with doctors to address your symptoms, but since theyve persisted and seem to be affecting multiple areas, it would be helpful to follow up with specialists, like an ENT or a musculoskeletal specialist, to further evaluate your throat, chest, and ear symptoms. Its possible that the ear pain and throat discomfort are related to your GERD or a lingering infection, but a more thorough examination will help provide clarity.
