Question
I've got an sgpt level of 56, and it seems like all the other tests in my master check-up came back normal. Should I be worried about this? My doctor mentioned that I don't need any medication for the increased sgpt level, but I'd like to understand if there's anything else I should be considering.

An SGPT level of 56 is slightly elevated, but your doctor's reassurance suggests it's likely not a cause for concern; mildly elevated SGPT can be due to various factors like fatty liver, muscle damage, or alcohol consumption; since your other test results are normal, your doctor may recommend monitoring your SGPT levels periodically and making lifestyle adjustments, such as maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly, and limiting alcohol intake, to help bring your SGPT levels back to normal.
