Question

MRI shows focal thinning and altered signal in my ACL suggesting a partial tear plus a grade 23 horizontal tear in my medial meniscus. There's minimal fluid in my knee joints but I'm not in pain right now. Is it okay to delay surgery for a month or two or should I get it treated immediately?

While it's positive that you're currently pain-free, it's generally recommended to address ACL and meniscus tears, even partial ones, promptly, especially if you're active or plan to return to physical activity. Delaying surgery, particularly for a partial ACL tear, could lead to further damage, instability, and potential development of osteoarthritis. Consulting with an orthopedic surgeon is crucial to determine the best course of action based on your specific situation and activity leve
