I'm really worried. A couple of days ago, I accidentally hit my wife on her right cheek, and now her jaw on that side is swollen. It was starting to get better, and she didn't have any pain for about two weeks. But suddenly, yesterday, she's in a lot of pain again, and the swelling has increased. My gums have been bleeding off and on but there's no pain while eating. The dentist says I have bone loss and need 3 scaling sessions plus laser flap surgery in 2 sittings soon. They mentioned bone loss like this usually happens with BP or neuro meds but I don't have diabetes or high BP. Does this treatment plan make sense or should I get another opinion? Also I'm moving to the US next month should I wait to get this done there or do it now in Bangalore? I'm 28 and otherwise healthy.
