Question

My scan report shows mild probe tenderness in the right iliac fossa and a mildly dilated appendix at 5mm with a few enlarged lymph nodes in the RIF. It says no perforation but mentions subacute appendicitis. No kidney stones or hydronephrosis were found. Do I need surgery for this or can it be managed with meds?

Subacute appendicitis with probe tenderness can sometimes be managed with antibiotics, but recurrence risk makes surgery advisable.
