Question
My uncle had surgery for oral cancer a few months ago and completed radiation therapy over a month back. He's been weak but recovering well, but recently he's noticed blood in his saliva or mucus once or twice a day. The radiation specialist and oncologist said it's normal, but I'm still a bit concerned. Is bleeding like this really a common side effect after radiation or should we be more worried about it?
