Is anesthesia injected directly into the eye during squint surgery and does it hurt? I'm really nervous about the procedure and want to know what to expect with the pain level
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Squint surgery usually uses local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia for children—pain is minimal during the procedure and manageable postoperatively.

View allI've had vision problems since I was a kid started at -2 and now it's -7. No doctor has been able to tell me if it's curable. Are there any treatment options besides surgery that could help improve my eyesight?
A prescription of -7 in eyesight indicates a high level of nearsightedness, also known as myopia. It means that the eye's lens needs a powerful negative lens to focus light correctly onto the retina, allowing for clear vision at close distances but making it difficult to see distant objects clearly. This condition typically requires glasses or contact lenses for proper vision correction

just had cataract surgery this morning and was told to use eye drops but my eyes are also watery from a cold can i take cold medicine too or will it interfere with the surgery
After cataract surgery, it’s safe to take cold medicine, but be cautious if it contains decongestants, as they can increase blood pressure. It’s best to consult your eye doctor for specific instructions about medications during recovery.
