Is anesthesia injected directly into the eye during squint surgery and does it hurt? I'm really nervous about the procedure and want to know what to expect with the pain level

Squint surgery usually uses local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia for children—pain is minimal during the procedure and manageable postoperatively.

Eyelid ptosis can be corrected by minor eyelid surgery to improve symmetry and function; consult an oculoplastic surgeon for evaluation.

I have a squint eye and heard it might not be fully correctable as an adult. What kind of improvement can I expect from cosmetic squint surgery, and what are the costs and risks involved? One of my eyes has also become lazy.
Squint surgery in adults can significantly improve eye alignment, reduce or eliminate double vision, and boost self-confidence. While it can't always fully correct the issue, it often provides substantial improvements in function and appearance. Lazy eye can also be treated, and surgical correction of the squint may enhance the lazy eye's ability to function. The cost of surgery varies, but it's generally considered a safe procedure
