My upper teeth don't show when I talk or smile, and I also have an underbite. Would I need upper jaw surgery to make my teeth visible? How complicated is that procedure and what's the cost? Are there any non-surgical options to fix this?

I've been dealing with constant jaw and neck pain for about a year now, and I recently saw an oral surgeon who suggested I get an MRI of my TMJ. I'm a bit worried thoughis it okay to go ahead with the MRI during my menstrual period, or should I wait until it's over?
