Sir, what is this viral load? I am worried about my health. Is hepatitis B curable? My report shows HBsAg provisionally reactive, and the lab has suggested a confirmatory HBsAg test. I have no symptoms mentioned in articles on the internet, but I am feeling very tired, and my weight has drastically reduced from 68 kg to 58 kg. Is this due to hepatitis B? How can I know whether it is acute or chronic? Is it fatal or life-threatening? I am very worried.

I tested HBsAg positive, and my doctor informed me that I was an inactive carrier. My liver function test values have been normal. Recently, I have been experiencing abdominal pain. Can I marry a girl? I got my report HBeAg as positive 3.26 and HBV DNA as 279802 IU per mL.

If you are HBeAg positive and have HBV DNA of 2.79 lakh IU/mL, this means the virus is actively replicating. You can marry, but disclose this to your partner and take precautions. Long term follow up and possible treatment may be needed.
