Sinus Issues and Breathing:
- Sinus congestion and nasal blockage can make nasal breathing difficult, potentially causing a sensation of shortness of breath.
- This is often due to nasal obstruction rather than true respiratory distress.
-
Indirect Causes:
- Sinus problems may lead to postnasal drip or trigger asthma/allergic reactions, indirectly affecting breathing.
-
Other Considerations:
- Persistent or severe shortness of breath should be evaluated for other causes like asthma, allergies, or heart conditions.
-
Recommendation:
- Consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen for proper diagnosis and treatment.

View allI've been feeling this film of mucus on the right side of my throat, almost down to my chest, for the past few weeks. I remember having the same feeling last year. My right nostril is blocked, and there's pressure on my right ear. I used to smoke a lotabout six cigarettes a day for seven yearsbut quit last year. Since then, there's no cough, but the mucus feeling is still there. Could it be cancer? Sometimes, it seems like this sticky feeling on the right side even goes down to my stomach. I'm not experiencing heartburn though. I'm curious, what's the risk of throat cancer at 27 in India? Also, I used to smoke marijuana but stopped that last year too. What do you think?
That could be GERD, visit Gastroenterologist for evaluation and appropriate management

I've noticed that I'm always dealing with one blocked nostril, and it's really odd because it only feels unblock while I'm taking a hot shower. It's not a runny nose or anything that feels like a cold. Could this be something I should be concerned about? Is there a reason why the steam or heat from the shower might be helping?
The persistent blockage of one nostril, except during hot showers, could be due to a deviated septum, nasal polyps, enlarged turbinate bones, or environmental allergies; consider consulting an ear, nose, and throat (ENT)

One side of my tonsil has an open pocket where food keeps getting stuck and forms yellowish tonsil stones. I have to remove them manually but there's no swelling. I don't want surgery are there any ayurvedic treatments to help close this pocket?
While Ayurvedic practices can help manage tonsil stones and associated symptoms, they generally don't address the underlying structure of the tonsils, including the "pocket" you describe. Addressing a specific structural issue like a tonsil pocket might require more specialized medical interventions, and Ayurveda is not a substitute for conventional medical care in such cases.
