Can using baby shampoo like Johnson & Johnson actually lead to more hair fall for adults? I've been using it and noticed my hair shedding a lot more than usual. Is it possible that baby shampoo isn't good for adult hair, or is there something else causing this? Would love some insights on whether I should switch shampoos or if there's another underlying reason for the hair fall.

Baby shampoo is generally mild and gentle, but it may not provide enough nourishment for adult hair. In some cases, using baby shampoo can lead to increased hair fall in adults. I recommend switching to a shampoo specifically designed for adult hair, such as Pantene Pro-V or Head & Shoulders, and make sure to use a conditioner as well. Additionally, consider using a hair serum or oil to help strengthen your hair and reduce hair fall.

  1. Baby Shampoo and Hair Fall

    • Baby shampoos are formulated to be mild and gentle, typically not causing hair fall.
    • They lack harsh chemicals, making them generally safe for adult use.
  2. Suitability of Baby Shampoo for Adult Hair

    • Adult shampoos often contain ingredients for specific hair needs, like volume or dandruff control.
    • Baby shampoo may not address these needs, potentially affecting hair texture but not directly causing hair fall.
  3. Common Causes of Hair Fall in a 25-Year-Old Female

    • Hormonal changes (e.g., thyroid issues, PCOS).
    • Nutritional deficiencies (iron, vitamin D, biotin).
    • Stress, lifestyle factors, and scalp conditions.
    • Genetic predisposition.
  4. Recommendations and Next Steps

    • Consult a dermatologist or trichologist for personalized advice.
    • Consider diagnostic tests like blood work or scalp examination.
    • Use hair care products suited to your specific hair and scalp needs.
  5. Relevant Medical Specialties and Treatments

    • Dermatology and trichology can provide targeted treatments.
    • Options may include medications, supplements, or lifestyle changes based on the underlying cause.

I'm a bit worried about this cut mark or stretch mark I have on my forehead from a road accident two years ago. I'm really hoping there's a way to get rid of it. Can you let me know if it's possible to remove it, and what kind of specialist should I be looking to see for this?

Yes, it's possible to improve the appearance of the cut markstretch mark on your forehead; consider consulting a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon, who can assess the scar and recommend suitable treatments, such as topical creams (e.g., silicone gel, retinoids), chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser therapy (e.g., fractional CO2, pulsed dye), or surgical scar revision.

I'm a bit worried about how to remove hair around my private areas. Is there a cream or lotion that's safe to use instead of shaving? Also, how can I get rid of hair in hard-to-reach places like underneath and my back? Is there any permanent solution out there that I should consider?

permanent solution is through laser

I've been having this issue for the past six months where I notice some white patches on the glans of my penis, which come off easily after washing. Theres also a small red spot inside the foreskin with some light itching. I got a VDRL test done and it came back negative. I've been using zoster ointment, but I'm a bit worried. Whenever I have physical relations, sometimes the glans gets a bit red, and the foreskin seems to shrink and tighten. Should I be concerned about this, and is there anything else I should be doing or looking into?

Probable diagnosis is fungal infection. Candid cream for local application is advised for 2 weeks, along with tab levocetrizine 10 mg orally, daily for 5 days is advised to the patient.
