Can vitamin D deficiency cause regular headaches, weakness, and a feeling of imbalance in a person?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Yes, low Vitamin D can cause headaches, weakness, and imbalance. It is common in indoor workers and those with low sunlight exposure. Supplementation for 8 to 12 weeks usually helps. Retest levels after treatment.

View allFor a few days, my mom has been suffering from leg pain. Earlier, it was in one leg, but now it happens in both legs. One day, she was sitting in one position for a long time, and when she moved, it caused a lot of pain. Now, if she sits anywhere for a long time and then gets up, she faces the same problem. She was earlier diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency and took medication for a few months but stopped as she continued to feel well. She is slightly overweight. She also had menstrual related issues in the past, such as overbleeding and abdominal pain. I do not know the exact reason behind her leg pain, but she complains that she is unable to walk when it happens. Please help and suggest treatment options. She lives alone and is working, as my father has passed away. I am also working but staying far from her. This issue arose recently. If you need any further information, please reach out to me. What could be the reason for her leg pain?

Hi Doctor, for the past one week, I have been experiencing pain in my lower back, especially in the mornings. The pain tends to improve as the day progresses. I had a similar issue a few years ago, and at that time, my doctor said it was due to a lack of calcium and vitamin D, which was confirmed by my blood test. I want to know if this could be the same problem again, and what should I take to get relief from this morning back pain?
