Yes, low Vitamin D can cause headaches, weakness, and imbalance. It is common in indoor workers and those with low sunlight exposure. Supplementation for 8 to 12 weeks usually helps. Retest levels after treatment.

I felt pain on the side of my shin above the ankle after running a week, almost 5 to 7 km daily with 2 days rest in between. I have completed a half marathon twice before, but this time I started running after a break of 4 to 5 months. I rested for 2 weeks and then saw a physiotherapist. He did TENS and laser for 11 days, suggested exercises, and advised trying running again after 2 to 3 days. After approximately 5 weeks of complete rest and 2 weeks of physiotherapy with hot and cold packs, I started running again, but pain appeared even after running 300 meters. My vitamin D is 11.75. What should I do? Should I meet an orthopedist or someone else?

My vitamin D level is 15 (low). The doctor advised me to take vitamin D weekly for 8 weeks and then monthly once, but did not mention for how many months I should continue. How long should I take the monthly doses? Also, does vitamin D help with chest or rib pain?

After pregnancy, my wife developed severe pain in lower bones and back. I consulted a doctor (GYN and OBS) who advised a blood check up. Blood report results show calcium 10.40 mg/dL, TSH by CLIA Serum 3.41 ?IU/mL, Free T4 Serum by CLIA 1.17 ng/dL, Free T3 Serum by CLIA 2.32 pg/mL, 25 Hydroxy (OH) Vitamin D Serum 11.66 ng/mL. She has been prescribed T. Shelcal HD and T. Losmia 60K for 8 weeks. After taking medicine for about 4 weeks, she did not find any relief in the pain. Do I need to take a second opinion on the same or wait for more time? One of my friends advised to ask our doctor for vitamin D3 injection, as it will be very effective. Please advise or guide me. Should I go for a second opinion or ask my doctor for vitamin D3 injection? Please suggest some D3 injections which are good to take and available in the market? Thanks in advance for your suggestions and advice.
