  1. Pregnancy Detection Timeline
It is not possible to confirm pregnancy the day after unprotected sex. The body requires time to produce detectable levels of pregnancy hormones.

  2. Reliable Testing Period
A pregnancy test is typically reliable about 10-14 days after conception, when the hormone hCG can be detected in urine.

  3. Testing Recommendations

    • Wait at least a week after a missed period before taking a home pregnancy test.
    • Consult a healthcare provider for more accurate testing options if needed.
  4. Emergency Contraception
If concerned about pregnancy risk, discuss emergency contraception options with a healthcare professional promptly.

Recommended next steps

Consult a Obstetrician and Gynaecologist or Take a Beta HCG Test Test

Can a woman get pregnant after family planning operation?

It is still possible to become pregnant after undergoing the procedure, but tubal ligation is usually highly effective. The surgery involves cutting and tying off the fallopian tubes to prevent an egg from entering the uterus. Undergoing tubal ligation increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy.

I'm really confused about my pregnancy test results. I took a Prega News test and there was only one line, but I noticed that the HCG absorbent paper turned pink after about 3 minutes. My period is supposed to start on the 28th of this month. I even took the test yesterday and it came back negative. Does the pink color on the absorbent paper mean there's HCG hormone present?

Check for pregnancy aftre missing regular period for more than a week and visit Obstetrician for appropriate management, those tests could be false positive at times

I'm 29 weeks pregnant and recently moved to stay with my mom. My new doctor here advised me not to take Ecosprin, but my previous doctor had prescribed me Ecosprin 150 mg after my double marker test showed something about FGR before 37 weeks with a 1 in 643 ratio. Now, I'm confused about whether I should continue taking Ecosprin or not, and if I do take it, when should I stop? I'm really unsure about what to do and would appreciate your guidance.

It's understandable to feel confused. Given your doctor's advice to stop Ecosprin, its important to follow the current recommendation. The initial prescription of Ecosprin might have been due to specific risk factors, but if your new doctor feels it's not necessary, trust their expertise. You can clarify the exact timing for stopping the medication during your next appointment.
