Is cataract surgery safe during the rainy season or is it better to wait for winter? I've heard humidity and infections might be higher in monsoon and worried about recovery. Does the weather really affect the surgery outcome or healing process?

I have a cylindrical power of 0.75 with a 180-degree axis in my right eye and in my left eye, it's sph 0.25 with cyl 0.75 and a 180-degree axis. My friends say wearing glasses can make my problem worse should I consider surgery for this?

I'm a 22-year-old female with retinal thinning in my right eye that's under control, but my doctor recommended surgery if I want to keep running and exercising.
