Is cataract surgery safe during the rainy season or is it better to wait for winter? I've heard humidity and infections might be higher in monsoon and worried about recovery. Does the weather really affect the surgery outcome or healing process?

I had PRK surgery 6 months ago and my doctor told me to keep using preservative-free lubricant drops three times a day plus gel at bedtime for another 3 months. Is it safe to use them for this long or could there be any side effects from extended use?
