Hi Doctor, I was married on 22nd July, and my period was due on 10th August. I did a home urine pregnancy test, which showed a positive result. Yesterday, we confirmed with a Beta HCG blood test, which showed a value of 4152 mIU/mL. Does this confirm my pregnancy, and how many weeks pregnant am I likely to be? If a pregnancy test shows one dark line and one light line, does it indicate pregnancy? I checked with a home pregnancy kit yesterday and again after few days and both times showed this result. My last menstrual period was on 1st June, and my cycles are usually on time. My period has not yet arrived this month. What should I do, and how many more days should I wait before testing again?

Yes, even with a negative blood test, rarely PCOD and high prolactin can affect hormone levels and delay detection. Repeat test after 3 days.
