Dear Sir, I am having arthritis problems. Someone told me that it may be related to the advancement of HIV. I went for an ICTC test, and I was found negative. Please suggest what I should do. Does rheumatoid arthritis affect the immune system? What can be done.

Rheumatoid arthritis affects the immune system but is not related to HIV. Your HIV test result is negative, which means you do not have HIV. RA needs proper care through medicines and lifestyle changes. It is best to continue regular follow ups with your doctor or a rheumatologist to manage symptoms and monitor progress.

Dr. Hema Suggests...

Take a RA Factor Test (Rheumatoid Factor) Test or Take a Anti CCP Test (Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide) Test
