Dear Sir/Madam, I need urgent advice on how to increase my platelet count. Due to dengue, my platelet count has been decreasing day by day. Please suggest what I can do urgently to raise my platelet levels.

Falling platelets are common in dengue, especially from Day 3 to Day 6. Include papaya leaf juice extract ( twice a day), kiwi, pomegranate, coconut water. Take ORS, fluids every 2 hours, avoid oily or spicy foods. Monitor platelets twice daily and admit if platelets drop below 75,000 or if bleeding starts.

Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test

View allMy 5 years 4 months old daughter, weighing 19 kg, has been having fever. We visited the hospital and the doctor advised CALPAL if fever is more than 101F and MEFTHAL P if more than 101F, and asked us to revisit after 2 days if the fever persisted. The fever has been on and off with medicine. We consulted the doctor again. She prescribed an antibiotic syrup (ZIPRAX 100) and suggested a CBC test. The results are mostly normal, but the platelet count is 1.20 L/mm (I understand the normal range should be 1.5 to 4 L/mm). Today, my daughter is also feeling dull. What should be done?
