In Dengue does the WBC count increase or decrease?

When you have dengue or any other disease, your body makes more white blood cells to fight the bacteria, viruses, or other foreign substances causing your illness. This increases your white blood count.

Hello, I am a breastfeeding mother and currently suffering from dengue fever. I am experiencing body aches, high fever, fatigue, and weakness. My questions are: I heard that papaya leaf juice may help in dengue. Can I take this while breastfeeding? My blood pressure was 100/70 yesterday, is this a concern? I have not had a fever for the last 8 hours, but I still feel very weak and low on energy. My platelet count was 2.5 lakh and WBC 4600 on Monday, and on Tuesday it dropped to platelets 1.53 lakh and WBC 2300. How long does it usually take to recover from dengue and low platelets? Today is my 4th day of illness. I am taking plenty of fluids, including water, kiwi, and coconut water. I am currently on medications: Lenol ER, L Cin 500, rabeprazole sodium and domperidone dsr.
