Does testosterone therapy help erectile dysfunction?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Testosterone replacement monotherapy can improve erectile function in men with mild ED, but not moderate and severe ED.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a SGPT Test / ALT Test Test or Take a Anti-Dsg-I (Pemphigus Foliaceus) Test

View allI am a 46 year old man experiencing erectile dysfunction for the past 3 months. My blood tests show low free testosterone, high estradiol, and high FSH levels. The endocrinologist initially prescribed Modula for 10 days, but I did not experience any improvement. He then suggested testosterone replacement therapy. I have not started TRT and instead opted for Ayurvedic treatment recommended by a well known sexologist in Delhi. However, after 2 months, there has been little improvement. I no longer have morning erections and have been unable to have sexual intercourse due to poor erections for 3 months. I have a few questions: Should I consider starting testosterone replacement therapy? Is TRT the only effective option for me? What are the potential long term complications of TRT?
