A few months ago, I used an old blade to shave my moustache at home, and it's been weird ever since. Part of my moustache isnt growing back the same. I shaved against the direction of hair growth and now there are only a few hard and black strands where it used to be fuller, plus some parts are still completely smooth. The new hair thats coming in looks lighter in color too. I'm not sure what's going on or what I should do. Could you recommend any treatments or medication?

  1. Understanding the Possible Causes

    • Shaving with an old blade and against hair growth can damage hair follicles, leading to patchy regrowth.
    • Lighter or sparse hair may result from temporary changes in the hair growth cycle or follicle damage.
  2. When to Seek Medical Advice

    • Consult a dermatologist if the issue persists or worsens, to rule out conditions like alopecia areata.
  3. Treatment and Care Recommendations

    • Use gentle skin care products to support healthy regrowth.
    • Consider topical treatments like minoxidil (e.g., Rogaine, Mintop) after consulting a healthcare provider.
    • Avoid further trauma to the area and maintain good hygiene.
  4. Diagnostic Tests and Specialist Consultation

    • A dermatologist may perform a clinical examination or dermoscopy.
    • Further tests like a biopsy might be necessary for a definitive diagnosis.
  5. Patience and Monitoring

    • Hair regrowth can take time; monitor changes over weeks to months.
  6. Summary of Next Steps

    • Seek professional advice for a personalized treatment plan.
    • Avoid self-medicating without guidance from a healthcare professional.

I've been dealing with really itchy rashes and red patches for the last three days and its getting pretty frustrating. I'm using Zovirax tablets and Ocuvir cream, but I'm not sure if they're really helping. Should I be doing anything else, or could this be something more serious?

Stop taking the medication.U can use calasoft lotion for local application for 7 days and also tab allegra 120 mg bedtime orally for 5 days is advised to the patient.

I'm really curious about how effective homeopathic medicine is for treating skin problems. I've also heard concerns that they might contain steroids. Can you shed some light on this? How can we be sure they're safe and what should I look out for?

There are certain records saying homeopathy medicine would work, and I suggest you to go with the seriousness of your issue if it is serious better option for allopathy, and for your reference homeopathy medicine do not contain steroids.

I'm really concerned about my 3-month-old daughter's skin. I've been using a massage routine with homemade ghee, and then I apply a mixture of gram flour, raw milk, and turmeric powder after 15 minutes. I want to know if it's safe to use these things daily to help lighten her skin tone. Is this okay for her delicate skin? What would you suggest I do to help her?

No they are not adviced to use because their skin is sensitive, you can use natural oils nothing more than that
