A few months ago, I used an old blade to shave my moustache at home, and it's been weird ever since. Part of my moustache isnt growing back the same. I shaved against the direction of hair growth and now there are only a few hard and black strands where it used to be fuller, plus some parts are still completely smooth. The new hair thats coming in looks lighter in color too. I'm not sure what's going on or what I should do. Could you recommend any treatments or medication?

Understanding the Possible Causes
- Shaving with an old blade and against hair growth can damage hair follicles, leading to patchy regrowth.
- Lighter or sparse hair may result from temporary changes in the hair growth cycle or follicle damage.
-
When to Seek Medical Advice
- Consult a dermatologist if the issue persists or worsens, to rule out conditions like alopecia areata.
-
Treatment and Care Recommendations
- Use gentle skin care products to support healthy regrowth.
- Consider topical treatments like minoxidil (e.g., Rogaine, Mintop) after consulting a healthcare provider.
- Avoid further trauma to the area and maintain good hygiene.
-
Diagnostic Tests and Specialist Consultation
- A dermatologist may perform a clinical examination or dermoscopy.
- Further tests like a biopsy might be necessary for a definitive diagnosis.
-
Patience and Monitoring
- Hair regrowth can take time; monitor changes over weeks to months.
-
Summary of Next Steps
- Seek professional advice for a personalized treatment plan.
- Avoid self-medicating without guidance from a healthcare professional.

View allI've been dealing with hair loss since I had dengue a few months ago. My hair used to be thick and healthy, but now I'm losing so much daily, and it's really thinning out. I read that this could be due to the telogen effluvium phase and that it might stop on its own after a couple of months. Is there any medication or supplements I can take to help reduce the hair fall faster? I'm really concerned about it.
Certain nutrients can help support hair growth and strengthen the hair follicles during this phase. You might consider the following: Biotin (Vitamin B7): Biotin is essential for hair health and is often recommended for strengthening hair and nails. A daily dose of 2,500 to 5,000 mcg is commonly used. Vitamin D: A deficiency in vitamin D has been linked to hair thinning and hair loss. If you have a deficiency, consider supplementing with vitamin D3 (ideally 1,0002,000 IU per day, but this can vary based on your levels). Iron: Iron deficiency can also contribute to hair loss. If youve had low iron levels (or anemia) in the past, a supplement like ferrous sulfate might be beneficial. Consult with a doctor to check your iron levels before taking iron supplements. Zinc: Zinc plays a key role in hair tissue growth and repair. If you have a zinc deficiency, it could worsen hair thinning. A daily dose of 1015 mg can be helpful. Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Fish oil or flaxseed oil supplements can help support hair health by promoting scalp circulation and reducing inflammation. 2. Minoxidil (Topical Solution): Minoxidil (5% solution) is an over-the-counter topical treatment commonly used to promote hair regrowth. It works by stimulating hair follicles and improving blood circulation to the scalp.it can also be effective for telogen effluvium-induced hair loss, though the results can take a few months to become noticeable.

I've got a healthy weight, but my cheeks are super thin, and it just doesn't look great. I'm sticking to a nutritious diet, doing pranayama, and keeping up with exercise, but my cheeks still look really thin. How can I get fuller cheeks and glowing skin? I'm not dealing with any diseases or anything. Any advice?

I'm a 27-year-old guy and I'm dealing with some pimples on my face. I've been thinking about taking DOXOL LB pills regularly, but I'm not sure if it's safe. Could you advise me on that? Also, I have a really oily face and I'm looking for a good acne scar removal cream or medication. Is laser treatment a safe option for getting rid of acne scars? I'd really appreciate your help!
Consult your regular Dermatologist for proper frequency and dosing of your DOXOL - LB tablets. For oily face, you can use a face wash containing Salicylic acid twice daily to control oil production. Laser treatment for acne scars can be safe and effective, but it is important to consult with a dermatologist to determine the best treatment option for your specific condition.
