Four days ago, suddenly at midnight, I developed full body red rashes and itching. I consulted a doctor, and they said it was due to a food allergy. I had no fever, headache, or joint pain that day. My CBC blood report was normal, but my fingers and palms were slightly swollen. I have been continuing the prescribed medicines for the last four days. It is improving day by day compared to previous days. Today is the fifth day. After taking medicine, the itching and rashes go away for the full day, but every evening, I get very mild rashes and itching. Is this okay for now? Will it take time to cure? How many more days should I continue the medicine? Now I feel some pain in two or three fingers on my hand. Is this joint pain? I am scared about dengue or chikungunya. Is there anything to worry about? Please advise.

Rash and swelling suggest allergic reaction. Mild joint pain now may be reactive. No strong signs of dengue or chikungunya unless fever or platelets drop.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a Dengue IgM - Elisa Test

View allMy father, who is diabetic, has been suffering from chronic cough for some time, especially in cool air. Recently, he developed high fever, and the doctor diagnosed him with pneumonia, prescribing tablets and syrup. He experienced relief from the cough for 2 days, but now he has a persistent dry cough that sometimes prevents him from sleeping at night. He continues to take both pneumonia and diabetes medications. Sleeping in a cooler worsens his cough. He had slight relief after stopping diabetes medications for a day, but it was minimal. The doctor recommended a sputum test, but he is unable to produce sputum. What should be the next steps?

Hello, I have deficiencies in both vitamin D and B12. When I take supplements, my levels improve, but if I stop the medicine even for a month, the levels drop again. Why does this happen, and what can I do to maintain normal vitamin levels?
