Hey, I recently had an HIV exposure and it's been about 22 days now. I went for an HIV proviral DNA test and it came back as non-reactive, which is a relief. But, I've started noticing some acne on my chest. Could this be an early symptom of HIV infection? I'm a bit worried and would love to hear your thoughts.

I recently had protected sex on June 26th and got an HIV RNA PCR test done on July 12th, which is like 15 days later. I'm really anxious to know if the results will be accurate. Is it true that you can do an HIV RNA PCR test after just 10 days?

For an accurate HIV RNA PCR test result, it's typically recommended to wait at least 10-14 days after potential exposure. Since you tested 15 days after the incident, it should provide a fairly reliable result, but the accuracy improves with more time. For complete certainty, consult with your doctor.

I tested positive for Covid-19 about 20 days ago and spent 15 days in home isolation. I just got tested again 19 days later, and it still came back positive. Is there a chance Im still spreading the virus to others? Do I have to keep staying away from family and friends, or can I start seeing them again? Also, is it okay for me to go back to work now?

I recently found out that my girlfriend had a past relationship, and now I'm just a bit anxious about things. To be cautious, I decided to get tested for HIV 1 and 2 using the Elisa method, and my results came back with a value of 0.09. I've attached my test report here. Could you help me understand what this means? Should I be worried or take any further steps?

-Hello, It's understandable that you're concerned. A result of 0.09 from the HIV 1 and 2 ELISA test is typically considered negative, as it is well below the cutoff for positivity. However, it's always a good idea to follow up with a healthcare profes
