Hey, so I noticed this red spot on my foreskin a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't itchy at first, but now it seems like it's spread around my penis and it's started itching. I'm really worried it might be an STD or something. Any idea what this could be?

Telsartan 50 to Amlip 5:_

The change from Telsartan (an angiotensin receptor blocker) to Amlip (Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker) might be due to:

  1. Different mechanism of action
  2. Potential side effects or intolerance
  3. Dosage adjustments

Possible Reasons for Uncontrolled BP:

  1. Inadequate dosage or frequency
  2. Resistance to medication
  3. Lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, stress)
  4. Underlying medical conditions (kidney disease, sleep apnea)
  5. Secondary hypertension (e.g., adrenal gland issues)

Recommendations:

  1. Schedule a follow-up appointment with her doctor.
  2. Monitor BP regularly (home monitoring or clinic visits).
  3. Encourage lifestyle modifications:
    • Balanced diet (low sodium, high potassium)
    • Regular exercise (walking, yoga)
    • Stress reduction (meditation, deep breathing)
    • Adequate sleep (7-8 hours)
    • Smoking cessation (if applicable)
  4. Consider additional testing:
    • Electrocardiogram (ECG)
    • Echocardiogram
    • Kidney function tests
    • Hormone level checks (e.g., aldosterone)

Potential Adjustments:

  1. Dosage increase or decrease
  2. Combination therapy (adding another medication)
  3. Alternative medications (e.g., beta blockers, diuretics)
  4. Lifestyle coaching or counseling

I've been dealing with this itchy red rash that keeps appearing and disappearing, and I sometimes feel a pricking sensation in different parts of my body, especially on my back. On top of that, my tonsils seem to hurt a bit too. Could this be something serious, or is there anything I should be doing to help it?

It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of a condition called Urticaria, also known as hives. Hives are red, itchy welts or swellings on the skin that often come and go. The pricking sensation you are feeling in your body parts, especially in the back, could be due to the hives. The slight pain in your tonsils may be related to inflammation or infection. To help relieve your symptoms, you can take an antihistamine such as Cetirizine (brand name Zyrtec) 10mg once daily. Additionally, you can apply a soothing lotion like Calamine to the affected areas to help with the itching. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is important to follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

I'm dealing with macular amyloidosis and I'm really curious if homeopathy can actually cure it. I've tried allopathy treatments like peels, lasers, and medications, but I was told it might come back. Is homeopathy able to eliminate it completely and prevent it from recurring?
