Hi Doctor, My name is Faizan, and I have been suffering from recurring boil skin infections for the past month. I recently got my blood tests done at Infedis Diagnostic Center, and the findings are: WBC Count: 26,600 /cumm (high) Hemoglobin: 14.1 gm/dl (normal) Lymphocytes: 16 percent (low) Eosinophils: 40 percent (high) ESR: 18 mm/hour (high) Urine Test: Normal, no sugar detected Could you please guide me on what these results indicate and suggest the best type of doctor or specialist I should consult for proper treatment? Thanks and Regards, Faizan Shaikh

High WBC and eosinophils indicate infection plus allergic/parasitic cause. A dermatologist and physician should co-manage. Stool test and absolute eosinophil count required.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a AEC Test (Absolute Eosinophil Count) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

I have an allergy problem. Sometimes I have coughing, cold, sore throat, etc. I want a free online consultation with a general physician. I will show my report because my eosinophil count is increased.

I recently did a complete health check up and as per my blood report, all tests are within the normal range except for eosinophil count, which is 11.6. Please advise if this is normal or if it requires any further tests or medication? Thanks, Vidya.
