Hi doctors, I did my regular blood report which came normal, but my ESR was 25 mm. I do not have any symptoms nor have I had any infection recently. Why is it high if the normal range is 0 to 15? Please suggest. Is it too high? I am worried.

ESR of 25 is mildly elevated and non specific. It can be raised due to minor inflammation or even stress. If no symptoms, no active infection is likely. Repeat an ESR and CRP after 10 days to monitor.
Dr. Vasanthasree Suggests...
Take a ESR Test (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

For the past three months, I have been experiencing occasional chills, fever, breathing difficulties, and body pain. During this time, I underwent multiple tests, including blood and urine tests, viral markers, HIV, Widal test, urine routine, CS for MP, HGM, ESR, PFT, HCV, thyroid, and malaria screening. All of which came back normal except for my ESR, which was elevated at 28 mm per hr (normal range 15 to 20 mm per hr). I would appreciate your advice on what this elevated ESR might indicate and whether any further tests are necessary. I have attached the test reports for your reference.
