Hi, I am a breastfeeding mother with a 6 month old baby. I am currently taking 50 mcg of thyroxine, but my TSH level has increased to 9.395. Could you please advise on the appropriate thyroxine dose for me? I weigh 52 kg and am 30 years old. My report is attached.

TSH is high, dose likely needs to be increased. A doctor may shift to 62.5 or 75 mcg, with follow up in 6 weeks. Breastfeeding is safe on thyroxine.

My wife is currently taking Thyronorm 75 mcg. Before conceiving, her TSH level was 3. Now, at 5 weeks pregnant, her latest TSH level is 4.73. The reference range for TSH in the first trimester is below 4.5. Could you please advise if this level is a concern and if any changes to her medication or treatment are needed?
