Hi, I am frequently getting itches on my palms and joint pains. My latest blood report shows HBsAg reactive status.

HBsAg reactive indicates hepatitis B infection. Joint pain and rashes may be immune related. Please consult a hepatologist. Do the required liver function tests and viral load.

Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test or Take a HBV Dna Test Test

View allSir, what is this viral load? I am worried about my health. Is hepatitis B curable? My report shows HBsAg provisionally reactive, and the lab has suggested a confirmatory HBsAg test. I have no symptoms mentioned in articles on the internet, but I am feeling very tired, and my weight has drastically reduced from 68 kg to 58 kg. Is this due to hepatitis B? How can I know whether it is acute or chronic? Is it fatal or life-threatening? I am very worried.

I am having hepatitis B virus and my liver function test and fibrosis reports are attached. My bilirubin is high. Will this have any effect on my body in the future? How should I manage it? My doctor told me that treatment is required only when SGOT and SGPT are high, and starting medicine before that is of no use. Is this correct, or should I start treatment now?
