HBsAg reactive indicates hepatitis B infection. Joint pain and rashes may be immune related. Please consult a hepatologist. Do the required liver function tests and viral load.

Hello, I am a hepatitis B carrier. My LFT reports are normal, but my HBV DNA quantitative PCR test shows viral DNA at 853 IU/ml. Should this be a concern? I do not consume alcohol or cigarettes. My doctor has advised not to take any medication as long as my LFT reports remain normal. Please guide me on how to proceed. I am having hepatitis B virus and my liver function test and fibrosis reports are attached. My bilirubin is high. Will this have any effect on my body in the future? How should I manage it? My doctor told me that treatment is required only when SGOT and SGPT are high, and starting medicine before that is of no use. Is this correct, or should I start treatment now?
