Hi, I have been having nausea since 2nd September till today. I have back ache and cramps like period. My last period was from 17th to 20th August with an irregular cycle. The last cycle was 80 days. Could I be pregnant? I had unprotected intercourse from 28th August to 4th September. I took a home test on 7th, 9th and 10th, and it was negative. Please advise. Thanks.

Nausea, cramp and unprotected sex may result in pregnancy. Early home tests may be too soon. Irregular cycles can delay testing. Do Serum Beta hCG blood test now. Repeat in 1 week if periods dont start. See doctor if severe pain/bleeding.

I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first child and have been experiencing continuous mild pain in my lower left abdomen for the past 12 hours. My girlfriend last menstrual period was on 27th April, and her cycle is usually 45 to 48 days. We had intercourse in May. She took a 5 day course of Meprate 10 mg to try to bring her period early, but it has not started. While on the medication, she took a home pregnancy test, which showed a very faint, almost colorless line (possibly an evaporation line). She repeated the test after 5 days, and it was negative. Could she still be pregnant?
