Hi, I have gone through a few tests. Renal function test values are low: Urea 14 (19 to 43), Blood urea nitrogen 6.5 (9 to 20), Potassium 3.3 (3.5 to 5.1). Liver function test: ALT/SGPT 13 (21 to 72), A/G ratio 1.47 (0.8 to 1.2). Can you advise if there are any issues? Thank you.

Your renal and liver function values are mildly outside normal, but not alarming. Urea, BUN, and potassium are slightly low, which can occur due to hydration, low protein intake, or minor electrolyte imbalance. SGPT (ALT) is mildly low not usually a concern. A/G ratio is high, this could be due to low globulin levels, but may not be serious alone.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a RENAL PROFILE/KIDNEY FUNCTION TEST (RFT/KFT) Test or Take a LIVER FUNCTION TEST (LFT) Test

View allMy brother was experiencing stomach ache and indigestion about a week ago, and he noticed his stool was greenish in color. We consulted a doctor, who advised some tests. His report shows that his liver is 14.9 cm long, which is about 4 cm larger than normal. The USG report also indicates an enlarged spleen. He frequently suffers from indigestion. Please advise what could be the cause and the next steps for evaluation or treatment

What does my report imply. Fatty liver means what. Please explain. Is it something to be worried about?

Hi, a few months ago I was diagnosed with grade 1 fatty liver with increased echotexture, and my weight was 83 kg. Recently, after treatment for COVID, I had another ultrasound where my liver echotexture appeared normal, but there was a mild increase in liver size. I have also lost 10 kg since then. My liver function tests are normal. Should I be concerned about these findings? I am attaching my report for your review.
