Hi, I recently went through a full body blood test. Other tests were fine and values are within the normal range, but my direct bilirubin level is 0.4 (normal range 0.0 to 0.3) and my indirect bilirubin level is 0.9. I just want to check if there is any need to worry and if there is any advice regarding this? Warm regards.

A direct bilirubin of 0.4 (slightly above range) and indirect bilirubin of 0.9 are not concerning if your liver function tests are otherwise normal. Mild variations can occur due to dehydration, recent illness, or fasting. Drink adequate water and maintain a balanced diet. Avoid alcohol and heavy oily food to support liver health. You can book a Liver Function Test (LFT) after 2 to 3 months to recheck bilirubin levels for reassurance.

Dear Sir/Madam, I went for a USG WA test last night, and the report shows my liver is 15.56 cm. Is it enlarged? My height is 174 cm and my weight is 76 kg.

Hi, one of my LFT tests shows SGOT as 70 with a reference range of 15 to 37 and SGPT as 200 with a reference range of 16 to 63. Another lab test shows SGOT as 83 with a normal range of 0 to 40 and SGPT as 176 with a normal range of 0 to 36. Can someone please help me understand which values are worse? Is the second lab test worse than the first? Which values are higher?
