My test results are as follows: Bilirubin total 2.49, Bilirubin direct 1.01, Bilirubin indirect 1.48, SGPT 84, and SGOT 44.

Your liver test shows elevated bilirubin (2.49 mg/dL) and SGPT (84), indicating mild liver inflammation. Since indirect bilirubin is higher, it could be due to fatty liver, a mild viral infection, or recent medication. Avoid alcohol, fried food, and take light meals. Recheck liver function tests in 2 weeks. If you have symptoms like fatigue or yellow eyes, your doctor may suggest a hepatitis screening.

View allI am suffering from jaundice for the last one week. Before one week my test report showed serum conjugated bilirubin is 4.20 and serum unconjugated bilirubin is 1.90. After one week my test report showed serum conjugated bilirubin is 3.95 and serum unconjugated bilirubin is 1.80. I am not understanding how serious I am right now?

What suggestions can you provide based on my report? Also, please advise on diet, including foods I should avoid.

Hello, my blood report shows SGOT 67. Is this a serious concern? Please suggest what I should do. I had earlier posted a question about a dry cough for the last month, and the doctor advised X-ray and blood tests. Everything came normal except SGOT elevated to 67. I work in the merchant navy, and if this does not get corrected, I may lose my job as I need to be medically fit every time I go on the ship. Please help. I am very worried about my health and job. Someone said there might be swelling in the liver, which is why the SGOT is 67.
