Hi, in my stool report it is mentioned as alkaline reaction. I want to know if that is normal or not? I have also attached my report for your reference. Regards, Ramya

Yes, alkaline reaction in stool can be normal, especially with vegetarian diets. It may also occur due to infection or poor digestion. Not alarming alone unless symptoms are present.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a STOOL EXAMINATION, PH & REDUCING SUBSTANCES Test or Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test

View allI am attaching my report. Please explain what it means. Is there any medicine to relieve patchy hyperemia in the antrum, which suggests gastritis? I have had indigestion for five months, and my stools are thin, and I sometimes feel a burning sensation in my stomach. When I eat foods such as rajma, chole, paneer, milk, soybean and chicken, I often feel stomach discomfort for two days, and my stool becomes loose. Please explain in detail and help?

Hi sir, I had a gastroscopy done a month ago due to constipation with blood and black flecks in my stools. I have attached my report. If there was bleeding in the upper GI tract, it would have been highlighted in the report, right?
