Hi, in my stool report it is mentioned as alkaline reaction. I want to know if that is normal or not? I have also attached my report for your reference. Regards, Ramya

Yes, alkaline reaction in stool can be normal, especially with vegetarian diets. It may also occur due to infection or poor digestion. Not alarming alone unless symptoms are present.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a STOOL EXAMINATION, PH & REDUCING SUBSTANCES Test or Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test

My son is 3 years and 10 months old. For the last 7 to 8 days he has been feeling discomfort in his stomach. I gave him Enterogermina for 3 days, twice a day, but it did not reduce. Now he feels this discomfort in different places like the middle of the chest, left side of the chest, right side of the stomach under the ribs, and above and below the navel. This discomfort lasts for a few seconds and happens 9 to 10 times a day. For the last 3 to 4 days his motion is normal. His urine routine test report is also normal. His pediatrician checked him and told me that physically he has no problem. He prescribed Drotin DS 7.5 ml, twice daily, but after giving this medicine the problem increased. He does not have any other problems and is playful. What should I do? Should I stop this medicine?

Hello Sir/Madam. My daughter stool test report came (we got it done as her stool had mucus and white flakes). I just want to know if the reports are okay? By the way, she is generally fine and gaining weight normally.
