Hi Sir. I have had back pain for one week, and today I developed fever, cold, and cough. I got my blood and urine tested. After the urine test, the doctor informed me that I have a urinary infection. The test showed albumin (present +) and pus cells 3 to 4/HPF. The doctor suggested taking Cystone syrup. After one day, I am fine from fever, cold, and cough, but I sometimes get pain in my right lower rib. What should I do?

The presence of albumin and pus cells in urine suggests a mild urine infection. Fever and cold improving with treatment is a good sign. However, right lower rib pain could mean the infection is mildly affecting the kidney area. Its best to repeat a Urine Routine Test and do a Renal Ultrasound to check for kidney involvement. Drink plenty of fluids and complete your course of medicine.

Take a Urine Routine Test Test or Take a Urine Protein- Quantitative- Spot Urine Test

View allI recently got a urine test done for my grandmother. The report shows full/high pus cells and 4 to 6 epithelial cells per HPF. Could you please explain what this indicates and if any further action or treatment is needed?

Recently, my doctor prescribed Levosulpiride for gastroesophageal reflux, Nexium 40 for acidity, and Desora for allergies for one month. After completing the course, I am still experiencing chest tightness, throat tightness, and shortness of breath. I consulted another doctor, who reviewed my urine test report and found pus cells and traces. I am confused about the cause since I feel I have not been properly diagnosed. What should I do next?

I am diabetic for 12 years. Three months ago, 6 mm and 4 mm kidney stones were detected. Now I am having right side pelvic pain and heaviness, along with burning sensation and yellow urine. The doctor prescribed Nutribact 100 for 3 weeks, Stone1 syrup, and Meftal tablets. Even after this, I have not been cured and was advised to undergo a cystoscopy. My urine test report shows ++ sugar, 15 to 20 pus cells, and epithelial cells. The culture report came as contaminants. Is this the proper treatment I am receiving?
