My wife has been experiencing body ache, backache, fatigue, and a burning sensation while passing urine. She had urine and blood tests today. The report shows trace albumin in urine and 8 to 10 pus cells. Could you please advise whether this indicates a kidney problem or a normal urinary tract infection? Should we be concerned about the albumin in urine, and is it likely due to infection or kidney damage?

Suggests lower urinary tract infection. Trace albumin is due to infection, not kidney damage. Needs antibiotics and hydration. No long term worry if infection resolves. Perform RFT and Urine culture test.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a Urine Routine Test Test or Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test

My 9 month old daughter routine urine test showed 500 pus cells per hpf. A follow up urine culture showed occasional white blood cells per hpf but no bacterial growth after two days of incubation. What should be the next steps? Currently, she is taking Levomac, Zifi, Maxtra, and Econorm, and I am giving her a liquid diet along with breastfeeding.
