Question

Hi Sir, I want to know how long it takes for HIV antibodies to develop. I got tested 2 years ago, and the result was negative, but some doctors say it can take up to 10 years. I am experiencing symptoms like swollen lymph nodes, oral thrush, tiredness, kapha, and nail line changes. Based on my report, is it conclusive, or should I take a retest?

HIV antibodies are reliably detected within 3 months. A negative test at 2 years confirms no infection. Symptoms like lymph nodes or thrush may relate to other conditions. No need for HIV retest if done from a reliable lab. Consult a physician for other causes.

Dr. Ezhilarasan Suggests...

Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a Vitamin B12 Test Test
