How many days of pregnancy can be detected through a serum beta hCG test, and how accurate is it? Is there any other test to confirm pregnancy?

Serum Beta hCG test can detect pregnancy as early as 10 to 12 days after conception (around the time of missed periods). It is highly accurate for pregnancy confirmation and more reliable than urine tests in early days. The level of Beta hCG roughly correlates with pregnancy weeks, but ultrasound is used to confirm gestational age accurately. For further confirmation, a Pelvic Ultrasound (after 6 weeks of LMP) is done to confirm location and viability of pregnancy. You can book a Serum Beta hCG test if you suspect pregnancy for early confirmation.

View allI am 23 years old, and my periods are usually irregular. This time, my period is delayed by 2 months and 23 days. For the past 2 days, I have had bloody brown discharge and pain in the lower left side of my stomach. I am trying to conceive, but I am really worried because I do not understand what is happening. I took a pregnancy test at 1 month and 20 days of delay, and it was negative. Please suggest what I should do.

Hi Doctor. I have been observing a faint pink line four days after my missed period. I did a beta HCG test on the fifth day of my missed period, and the reading was 106.7. Can this be considered positive?

I am 38 years old and trying for my second baby. I usually ovulate late, and my gynecologist prescribed Duphaston and Ecosprin after ovulation. I have missed my period and tested on the 3rd day after my due date, but the result was negative. From the 5th day onward, I have been experiencing spotting and passing dark brown clots daily. Could I still be pregnant, and should I take another pregnancy test?
