How serious are nasal polyps and is surgery the only option to treat them? I'm worried about them coming back after surgery, can you suggest other treatments or ways to prevent recurrence?

Nasal polyps are generally not serious but can cause significant discomfort and breathing difficulties. While surgery can remove polyps, they often return, even after treatment. Fortunately, there are various treatment options and strategies to manage polyps and reduce the risk of recurrence

For the past month, I've been noticing a salty thin liquid on the right side of my throat. When I spit it out, it's clear and thin but doesn't look like regular sputum. I keep swallowing or spitting to clear my throat, but it's only happening on the right side. I had ear surgeries and tonsils removed as a kid could this be related or is it something normal?

ent opinion is advised.

I was diagnosed with a left antrochoanal nasal polyp back in 2018 and my ENT has tried everything but says surgery is the only option now. I keep getting infections with bloody discharge from my left nose and can only breathe through my right nose and mouth. I'm really scared of surgery and even needles I can't even handle blood tests easily. I've heard about Dupixent (dupilumab) injections for treating polyps but can't find an ENT in India who can help me with this. Money isn't an issue, I just want to avoid surgery. Does Dupixent work for antrochoanal polyps and is it available in India or do I need to go abroad for it

Dupixent (dupilumab) injections are a potential treatment option for nasal polyps, including antrochoanal polyps, and are available in India. While your ENT may have explored other treatments, Dupixent is a viable alternative for managing symptoms and potentially avoiding surgery, especially if you are hesitant about the procedure and its potential complications. You should consult with an ENT specialist in India who is familiar with Dupixent and can assess your specific case to determine if it's the right course of action.

I'm a bit concerned about drinking alcohol while I'm taking Montek LC. My doctor prescribed it to me, and I'm not sure if there might be any side effects or interactions. Can you tell me if it's safe or if I should avoid drinking?

ideally there is no such interaction between them but as both will cause sedation, better not to consume alchohol when you are sick.
