I accidentally burned my leg with hot water and I've been using Silverex ointment, Burnosaf ointment, Lizolib, and taking Dalacin tablets. But there's still a lot of itching and pain. Do you have any advice on how to make this heal faster?

Burns can be painful and itchy, but with the right treatment, you can promote healing and reduce discomfort.
Current Treatment
You're already using:
- Silverex ointment: Helps prevent infection and promotes healing.
- Burnosaf ointment: Soothes and protects the skin.
- Lizolib: An antibiotic ointment to prevent infection.
- Dalacin tablet: An oral antibiotic to prevent infection.
Additional Measures to Promote Healing and Reduce Discomfort
- Keep the wound clean and dry: Gently clean the area with mild soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
- Apply a topical anesthetic cream: Over-the-counter (OTC) creams like lidocaine or benzocaine can help numb the area, reducing pain and itching.
- Use a cool compress: Apply a cool, wet compress to the affected area to reduce itching and discomfort.
- Take an oral antihistamine: If the itching is severe, an OTC antihistamine like diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can help relieve itching and reduce the allergic response.
- Keep the area moisturized: Once the wound is healed, apply a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and promote skin elasticity.

View allMy skin has been noticeably darker ever since I had typhoid about five years ago. I recently did a blood test, and everything came back normal, but my skin tone just seems to keep getting darker. It's really worrying me, and I'm trying to understand why this is happening and what I can do about it. Could there be some underlying issue that's causing this, even if my blood work looks fine?

I'm washing my hair every morning, but by the end of the day, if I scratch my scalp, there's a foul smell. This is really bothering me, and I'm not sure what's causing it. Could it be something with my hair care routine, or do I need to see someone about this? Would love some guidance on what might be going on.
