Pus cells greater than 10/hpf in pregnancy likely indicate UTI, which can harm both mother and fetus. Start antibiotics after a urine culture. Drink plenty of fluids and monitor fever or abdominal pain. Please take a Urine Culture immediately.

My wife has been experiencing body ache, backache, fatigue, and a burning sensation while passing urine. She had urine and blood tests today. My urine test report shows pus cells 50 to 60, leucocyte esterase positive +++, epithelial cells 18 to 20, and pap smear shows inflammatory cervix smear (dense). What does this mean?
