I am experiencing lower back pain that started from the right side of the hip joint. Now the pain has also started on the left hip joint and extends to the left thigh. I am unable to walk, sit, or sleep properly. My blood report shows HLA B27 positive. I would like to know what this means and what steps I should take for treatment.

HLA B27 positivity can be associated with inflammatory joint conditions like ankylosing spondylitis. Pain in the hips and back with stiffness is typical. It is important to consult a rheumatologist for confirmation and long term management. Get done MRI of the sacroiliac joint and ESR levels tested
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a ESR Test (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) Test or Take a RA Factor Test (Rheumatoid Factor) Test
